The NFL season kicks off Thursday, with the Green Bay Packers facing the defending champion Seattle Seahawks (6:30 p.m MT, NBC) and the Broncos opening their season Sunday, against the Colts at Sports Authority Field (6:30 p.m. MT, NBC).

Which means countless hours will be spent on the couch watching, debating and, for some, betting on, football.
