1 Cars vandalized. On Aug. 27, a Douglas County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the 6200 block of Red Canyon Drive in Highlands Ranch where someone had used orange spray paint to vandalize two cars. Clean-up cost was estimated at $400.

2 Missing mailbox. On Aug. 27, a deputy responded to the 6900 block of Hill Ridge Placein Parker where a man had found his mailbox was missing and he didn’t know when it was taken or by whom. He found one other mailbox missing in his neighborhood.

3 Park graffiti. On Aug. 27, a deputy responded to Elk Ridge Park,7005 Mira Vista Lanein Castle Pines where the deputy found numerous graffiti tags including “420,” “wavy crew” and “All my friends are filled with chemicals. Spoon fed by rich (expletive deleted),” among other expletives. It was estimated to cost thousands to clean it up.

4 Truck trespass. On Aug. 24, a deputy was dispatched to the 10400 block of Tracewood Circlein Highlands Ranch where someone stole a man’s flashlight and cable from his unlocked truck.

5 Chain cut. On Aug. 24, a deputy responded to Castle RV & Mini Storage,2633 N. Liggett Roadin Castle Rock, where someone had cut the chain lock to the gate at the entrance, but apparently nothing was stolen. It will cost $500 to replace the chain.

6 Car damage. On Aug. 23, a deputy was dispatched to the 9800 block of Goldfinch Lanein Highlands Ranch where someone had broken the driver’s side window of a man’s car and had apparently hit other cars in the area over the next few days.
