With July in full swing, playlists are a hot commodity. Road trips, pool parties, drinking cold stuff outside in 90+ degree weather — all of these simple summer pleasures are infinitely better if you have the right music.
Lucky you, we’ve been chomping at the bit to interrupt whatever conversation you were having to prematurely shout out the best songs of 2016.
With hip-hop (Kanye and Drake galore), pop (hey, ), folk (), prim indie anthems (Wye Oak, Andy Shauf), instrumental ballads (William Tyler) and so many other far-flung genres, it’s an omnivore’s smorgasbord, but might only really work to score the most eclectic of barbecues. (We’re talking churro-hotdogs-with-a-side-of-baked-jelly-beans eclectic.)
But don’t let that dissuade you: Grab your friend’s auxiliary cord and blast the playlist for Reverb’s own “Now That’s What I Call 2016 (So Far)” via Spotify , or below.
