Calvin Nagy, who was twice convicted of rape in Boulder and became the most-wanted sex offender in Colorado, was arrested in Mexico and extradited back to Boulder County on Thursday, seven months after he fled prior to his sentencing.
Boulder police, who had received a tip that Nagy was living in Playa del Carmen, coordinated with the FBI and Mexican law enforcement to apprehend him.
Nagy, 38, was convicted in November of sexual assault and various misdemeanor charges.
But Nagy, who was living in Vail and free on $7,500 bond, failed to appear for his sentencing Feb. 6.
