Say what you will about — she’s , her new , she shouldn’t be like that — but this was really cool.
A user posted on Reddit yesterday a video of Swift visiting him in his hospital room to perform a duet of Adele’s “Someone Like You” while he accompanied her on piano. At the time the Reddit user — a leukemia patient — was in the hospital recovering from a bone marrow transplant.
“She told me that she flew over from her Rhode Island home just for the purpose of visiting everyone in Boston Children’s Hospital (where I was staying),” the user said on Reddit. “Apparently she spent around 3 hours visiting. I just think its so awesome and nice that she came especially for that purpose.”
He continues to talk about the experience in the Reddit thread:
“I was warned just 5 min before she was going to stop by, and never dreamed she would be as nice as she was,” he wrote. “At first I was nervous but she was so personable it was as if I was with one of my friends (she stayed for about 10 min). She’s a super nice, down to earth person.”
