The Prince of Minneapolis joined the reigning king of Compton on stage Tuesday night. and made a surprise collaborative appearance during the live stream celebration of Prince’s two new albums (one solo, one with band 3rdEyeGirl).
The duo performed “What’s My Name,” a deeper cut from the 1998 Crystal Ball box set. This performance with Lamar marked Prince’s third and final song of the live stream, and also the night’s highlight. The live stream was also the first in a series of public appearances facilitated by Prince and his management team, who have said to be working on a series of over the next few months.
