On behalf of the 5th Congressional District, I extend gratitude for your timely and spot-on endorsement of retired Air Force Major Gen. Irv Halter to represent us in Congress.
Rep. Doug Lamborn is an embarrassment to El Paso County, Colorado Springs and the entire state. It is shameful to re-elect this man merely because he is a Republican; he has never worn the uniform of his country and is unresponsive to constituents. He has had three worthy opponents in the recent years — all decorated military officers. You would think that this pro-military community would see the logic of such a representative. Nope.
We deserve the intelligent, dignified class act of Irv Halter.
