Fort Collins police are asking people to use extra caution in the wake of reports of a man making unwanted advances and assaulting women in the last several weeks.
The department says it has received five reports of a male making unwanted advances, and in three of the incidents, physically assaulting women. In each case the woman was outside alone; none of them received serious injuries.
The incidents have occurred approximately between Shields Street and Taft Hill Road and West Prospect and West Drake roads in the early to late evening hours.
The cases appear to be related as a similar suspect description was given in each of the incidents. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 30-35 years of age, approximately 5-foot-7-inches tall, with a medium to slightly heavy build and short to shaved hair.
Police ask that anyone who has contact or who witnesses this man come in contact with someone else call 911 for immediate assistance. Anyone with any knowledge of these past incidents or who may have information regarding a suspect is encouraged to call Detective Jim Lenderts at (970) 416-2949 or Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868. Crime Stoppers may also be reached through their web site at
