Police in Lakewood said Friday they have arrested a man in connection with a 4-year-old boy’s death.
Ever Alexander Lopez-Calidonio, 24, faces a charge of child abuse resulting in death, police said.
About 7 a.m. on Thursday, officers were called to the 300 block of South Ames Street on reports that a child was not breathing. The toddler was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Lopez-Calidonio, who lived with the boy, was booked into the Jefferson County jail.
The boy’s name was not released by police.
“Due to the nature of the case and the fact that the investigation is continuing, no additional information is being released at this time,” police said.
