Susan Sutherland of the Colorado Personhood Coalition seeks signatures during the Colorado Republican State Assembly at the Ritchie Center in Denver in 2012. (Craig F. Walker, The Denver Post)
Re: “Once again, ‘no’ on Colorado personhood measure,” Oct. 3 endorsement.
The Denver Post editorial board does not support Amendment 67 because it is too “radical.” Is not the termination of a pregnancy at any time up to and until birth too radical as well? How about a compromise? How about if the heart is beating, they are a human being? How about if they have hands and feet and a eyes and a brain and a nervous system that feels pain, then they are a human being? If the beginning is too soon for some, how about Colorado at least protect those with beating hearts?
