CLASS 5A
No. 2 Grandview (6-0) vs. No. 7 Cherry Creek (4-2)
Friday, 7 p.m., Stutler Bowl
Grandview QB Cody Summers has only 30 completions in 71 attempts (41.7 percent), but eight of them have gone for TDs. He also has rushed for six TDs. … Wolves RB Chuk Obinnah is rolling. He now has 815 yards rushing and 10 TDs. … Tilmon Gash has been in on 4.5 sacks for Grandview. … Since a 1-2 beginning and four players were suspended by coach Dave Logan, Cherry Creek has three consecutive shutouts, winning by a combined 95-0. … Milo Hall continues as one of Colorado’s most consistent players. The running back has had at least 119 yards rushing in each game and has scored multiple TDs in five of six outings. To date in 2014, he has 866 yards and 13 TDs.
CLASS 5A
Fossil Ridge (4-2) vs. Legacy (4-2)
Friday, 7 p.m., FirstBank Field
The SaberCats, who have won three of their past four games, seemed to have turned it around — they were 6-24 over the past three seasons. … A week ago, Fossil Ridge went for a two-point conversion in the final seconds and made it. It led to a 29-28 league decision of Monarch. … QB Mitchell Salmela has thrown for 11 TDs and RB Andrew Spraberry has 723 yards rushing and five TDs. … Legacy has won three straight games after falling to Fountain-Fort Carson and Rocky Mountain by a combined 10 points. … Junior QB Matt Lynch is even at five TD tosses and five interceptions, but also is even with Connor Connelly with five rushing TDs. They lead the team.

Columbine (3-3) vs. No. 3 Pomona (5-1)

After one of the most-unproductive stretches during coach Andy Lowry’s 20-plus years of tenure, Columbine has won its past two games to even its record. … The Rebels have put up 98 points over their past eight quarters. … QB Jake Lowry has thrown for seven TDs, four two weeks ago against Mullen. … Austin Norton has rushed for 10 TDs and sophomore Mikey Griebel, who transferred from Heritage, has seven. … For the past five weeks, Pomona has been as good as any team, going 5-0 and scoring 165 points against a higher-end schedule. … RB Isaac Marquez has rushed and caught passes for 11 TDs. … Pomona can’t get caught looking ahead — Ralston Valley awaits in Week 8.
CLASS 4A
Standley Lake (2-4) vs. Wheat Ridge (4-2)
Saturday, noon, Jeffco Stadium
Defense — specifically, the lack of it – has been a problem for Standley Lake. The Gators have surrendered 237 points, including 120 over the last eight quarters, the third-most in 4A. … Michael Kerr heads the Gators with 534 yards rushing and six TDs. … Wheat Ridge, under first-year coach Dan Reardon, has been streaky. The Farmers won their first two by a combined 91-0, fell to Pueblo South and Dakota Ridge, then followed with a relative squeaker over Green Mountain and a spanking of George Washington. … RB Jordan Jones has rolled to 835 yards rushing and 12 TDs.
CLASS 4A
No. 5 Denver South (4-1) vs. Golden (3-3)

The visiting Rebels have lost only to 5A foes (Eaglecrest and Regis Jesuit). … Yes, Trevonte Tasco is a tank and a productive one at that. Now a senior, he has rumbled his way to 1,154 yards rushing, a 9.3 carry average and 11 touchdowns. … Marcus Lindsay has added seven rushing TDs. … Golden is experiencing a resurgence — the Demons are at .500 after having three consecutive 1-9 seasons. … Despite its quarterbacks having thrown for 12 interceptions, the Demons have won three games in a row. … Dvaris Johnson leads Golden with six rushing TDs.
CLASS 3A
No. 5 Holy Family (5-1) at No. 7 Roosevelt (5-1)
Friday, 7 p.m., Roosevelt High
Roosevelt sophomore QB Cameron Hurtado has been pacing the Roughriders’ offense, rushing for 491 yards and nine TDs this year. … Holy Family boasts the most potent passing offense in 3A, averaging 322.5 yards. Junior QB Chris Helbig has thrown 21 TDs against only two interceptions. … The Tigers have allowed just 14 points in the last three games. … Holy Family has won the last three meetings between the two teams.
CLASS 3A
No. 8 Glenwood Springs (4-2) at No. 6 Delta (4-2)
Friday, 7 p.m., Delta High
Glenwood Springs has been riding on the arm and legs of quarterback Dante Sparaco. The 6-foot-4 sophomore has rushed for 784 yards and 10 touchdowns, and thrown for 908 yards and there more scores. … The Demons won the 3A state championship in 2008. … Delta is led on offense by junior running back Jonny Ponce. He’s run for 983 yards and nine TDs this season. … Delta beat Glenwood Springs 13-9 when the teams faced off in the playoffs last year. It was its first win over the Demons since 2006.
CLASS 3A
No. 4 Evergreen (6-0) at No. 9 Conifer (5-1)
Saturday, noon, Conifer High
Evergreen is off to its best start in more than a decade. … Junior quarterback Dylan Reifeis has thrown 11 touchdowns, six of which have gone to senior receiver Marcus Cassin. … Conifer has one blemish on its record this year — a 17-16 loss to No. 8 Glenwood Springs. … RB Kailib Geer and QB Vaughn Brasseaux have combined for 1,181 rushing yards and 18 TDs this season. … The two teams have split their last 10 meetings, but Evergreen has won the past four — all by seven points or less.

No. 5 Meeker (5-1) at No. 8 Cedaredge (5-1)

Running back TJ Shelton has been a scoring machine for Meeker this year. He has 13 touchdowns on the ground and another one from a catch. … QB/DB Jake Phelan has been an asset for the Cowboys on both offense and defense. He’s thrown for 12 TDs and intercepted two passes. … Cedaredge has won more games from 2012-14 (23) than they had from 2004-11 (19). That includes the 1A state title in 2012. … Cedaredge has won the last two meetings between the teams.
CLASS 6-MAN
No. 5 Kit Carson (6-0) at No. 2 Eads (6-0)

Eads and Kit Carson have faced one another five times since 2006. Every single game has been decided by a blowout, the closest margin of victory was 38 in 2007. Eads holds a 3-2 edge.
