A woman riding a bicycle just north of Fort Collins was attacked earlier this week and investigators suspect the same assailant has attacked at least six other women in the area.

The attack Wednesday evening took place along Colorado Highway 1, according to a Larimer County Sheriff’s Office media release.

The victim described the assailant as a Hispanic man in his 30’s, with a stocky, muscular build, a shaved head or very short hair, and a moustache with a soul patch. The assailant fled in an older white, or light-colored, SUV with faded wood-grain paneling, or two-tone paint, on the sides.

Similar attacks in the Fort Collins area have happened over the past six weeks and investigators suspect the same man is responsible.

In all the cases the victims, women, were outside alone between the hours of 7 p.m. and midnight.

Fort Collins police and Larimer County Sheriff’s investigators are working together to share information and address public safety concerns.

Anyone with information on any of the attacks, similar assaults, or a possible suspect, is asked to call Investigator Ben Hess at 970 498-5173, or Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970 221-6868.
