I served the citizens of Adams County for 23 years as a deputy for the sheriff’s office and I had the honor of working side-by-side with a community member who wanted to do the right thing for the right reason. Steve O’Dorisio (who is running for Adams County commissioner) and I worked several community meetings and events together, and his outlook was to always try and do what was best for the community and best for the citizens, then figure out a way to make it happen. Sometimes that meant facing off with other officials; no matter the task, Steve was up to the challenge. Steve made tough decisions and addressed difficult issues, which didn’t always make him the most popular person with certain county individuals, but the community members he represented always liked and respected him.
