Police in Loveland arrested a man Wednesday in connection with a late September stabbing that left an 18-year-old injured after he confronted a man breaking into his car, according to a news release.

Colten Paul Sirio, 22, of Greeley, faces charges of aggravated robbery, first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree assault. Sirio, who was also found to be wanted on a separate, unrelated warrant, was arrested by the Weld County sheriff’s deputies.

One Sept. 30 about 11:30 a.m., the 18-year-old man called emergency responders to report that he had just been stabbed on the 1400 block of North Cleveland Avenue in Loveland.

“When officers arrived at the scene, they learned that the victim had confronted a man who was breaking into a car in the neighborhood,” police said. “One of the suspects then allegedly stabbed the victim with an unknown object, causing a minor injury to the victim.”

The teen was treated and released from a hospital, police said.

Anyone with further information about the crime is asked to call Loveland Police.
