1 Potato borrower. A woman went to police Sept. 18 because another woman threatened her. The victim was at her grandfather’s house in the 2000 block of West 91st Place, Federal Heights, when a neighbor walked into the house, wanting to borrow potatoes. The victim told her to leave, and then the neighbor insinuated that she would shoot the victim for standing in her way. She was cited.

2 Private pot field. A police officer noticed that a man who lives in the 7600 block of Highway 2, Commerce City, had about 20 marijuana plants in his backyard. The homeowner had active warrants, so police arrested him and confiscated all the plants.

3 Camping in the suburbs. Residents who live in the 8800 block Pecos Street, Federal Heights, called police because a group of homeless people were living in the woods behind their home. Officers told them to tear down their campsite and leave.

4 Long, uninterrupted theft. The owner of Anderson Tank and Trailer at 6087 E. 52nd Ave., Commerce City, noticed that 35 tanker fenders were stolen Sept. 25. The man reviewed security tapes and saw a person tossing the fenders over the fence in the middle of the night for two hours.

5 Swiped phone. A woman left her phone on her porch in the 10300 block of Zuni Street, Federal Heights, Sept. 15. It was gone within five minutes.

6 No squatting. A business owner at 6075 Parkway Drive, Commerce City, called police Sept. 25 because two people parked their mobile trailer in the parking lot for two days. They were cited.
