1 Walmart temper tantrum. Lakewood police officers were dispatched to Walmart, 440 Wadsworth Blvd., regarding a disturbance. A man had come into the store to pick up a shoe rack he had ordered online. He told the clerk he got an e-mail saying it was ready to pick up at the store, but the item was not available for purchase. The man became angry, demanded a refund and, when denied, smashed the clerk’s computer screen and receipt printer with his fist, causing $1,500 in damage. The man left before officers arrived.

2 Driver arrested for meth. On Oct. 6, an Edgewater police officer on patrol in the 2400 block of Sheridan Boulevard observed a suspicious vehicle. When the officer contacted the driver, he observed what appeared to be crystal methamphetamine inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, the officer discovered a bicycle inside the trunk. The suspect was arrested.

3 Property left in driveway. A woman called Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies on Oct. 3 after she found the property of a tenant whom she evicted in her driveway in the 1100 block of South Routt Court, Lakewood. A contractor working for the woman on the home found a man sitting in the driveway that morning with the property after a truck had driven off with it the day before. The woman was contacted and picked up some of her belongings, saying she couldn’t get into her storage space.

4 Home burglarized. On Oct. 4, a residential burglary occurred in the 2500 block of Fenton Street in Edgewater. Jewelry and coins were stolen. There are no suspects at this time.
