Two new ads supporting Democratic U.S. Sen. Mark Udall, who faces a tough challenge from Congressman Cory Gardner, both contain talking points worth talking about.
The ads are part of a slew of campaign commercials released in the last 24 hours targeting Colorado’s Senate race, one of the most watched in the nation.
The League of Conservation Voters’ features a woman noting Gardner’s record on the environment and women’s health and claims the Republican “isn’t telling the whole truth.”
“Nice guy, right?” she says as two of Gardner’s ads appear on the screen. “But slick TV ads don’t change Cory Gardner’s record of protecting polluters.”
In addition, she says, Gardner still supports a bill that .
“That’s why nonpartisan groups give Cory Gardner a failing grade,” the woman says as she walks by scorecards for the League of Conservation Voters and Planned Parenthood. Nonpartisan? OK, maybe they’re registered that way but both groups overwhelmingly support Democratic candidates and causes. Both have endorsed Udall.
