Congressman Cory Gardner borrows a page from the Democrat he’s trying to unseat, U.S. Sen. Mark Udall, in a new ad where Colorado’s scenery serves as a backdrop.
But because Gardner’s spot was filmed Sunday near Golden, it doesn’t portray nearly , which were filmed earlier this year. And as for looking at home in the mountains, well, let’s just say .
“When my party’s wrong, I’ll say it,” Gardner says in the spot. “If something’s broken, I’ll fix it.”
Gardner makes sure to mention President Obama, when he talks about Udall’s “party-line” performance in the Senate.
“His campaign’s gotten too tired and too mean,” Gardner says of the one-term senator.
Udall and Gardner are in the one of the hottest races nationwide and Coloradans will find out after Nov. 4 whether the Democrats’ vaunted get-out-the-vote effort pulled the senator over the finish line.
