Are you one of those who sit in the stands at high school football and berate the officials?
Do you think you could make better calls?
What would you do if you have a striped shirt and whistle?
Here’s your chance.
The Denver Football Officials Association (DFOA) wants you … that is, if you want them.
There is a need throughout the city for high-school football officials. Sports officiating can allow you to be a mentor to the players because you’re enforcing the rules and upholding the integrity of the game. Officials must demonstrate impartiality no matter who’s playing and possess strong character qualities such as integrity, fairness and courage.
If so, the DFOA has a question: Are you ready to make the call.
Here’s how you can begin – contact Vince Bravdica, e-mail — vpb@vwebr.net or website — www.CFOA-Denver.com.
There is a need for officials on all levels and those who apply may doscover the following – itap a little different handling the whistle and making the calls. And it can be rewarding.
