Authorities in Boulder say and sent two others to the hospital was started by an extension cord.

The fire happened Oct. 14 about 10:30 a.m. at the Boulder Meadows mobile home park.

Officials have not released the name of the young victim.

“It was unknown what was plugged into the extension cord,” authorities said in a news release Monday.

The Boulder County Coroner’s Office confirmed that a Latino toddler, about age 2, was killed in the blaze.

The fire, which had flames 20 to 30 feet high, destroyed a trailer and was fought by 35 firefighters. Friends and neighbors mourned the loss of the boy after the blaze, .
