1 Dead raccoon found with vulgar note. A man called Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies on Oct. 8 after his son found a dead raccoon on his porch with a note attached to it. Deputies responded to Pin Oak Drive in Ken-Caryl Ranch and spoke with the man, who said the note had an expletive and was signed by the “Ken Caryl Valley Bandits.”
2 Woman finds arrow in yard. On Oct. 8, a woman called deputies after she found an arrow in her yard in the 5100 block of South Independence Street in the Littleton area. The woman said she had found the arrow in her yard a few days earlier and that it looked like it had been shot from a high angle. It was stuck about 4 inches into the ground. She had taken the arrow into the house.
3 Neighborhood disputes reported. On Oct. 8, a man called deputies after what he said was repeated problems with a neighbor in the 9600 block of West Chatfield Avenue in the Littleton area. The man said he doesn’t have problems with other neighbors, but one man repeatedly calls him names. The deputy suggested the man speak to his homeowner’s association.
4 Man suspects fraud after magazine purchase. A man called deputies on Oct. 7 after he bought a magazine subscription from a couple at a Valero gas station, 13420 W. Coal Mine Ave. in the Littleton area. The man said the seller told him the subscriptions were for troops overseas. The man said the couple sounded legit and he gave them cash from the ATM and the receipt. After some thought, however, he found it to be suspicious.
