A Denver woman and a Castle Rock teen waltzed away with the crowns Sunday at the 2015 Miss Colorado USA and Miss Colorado Teen USA pageants at the Union Colony Civic Center in Greeley, officials said.
Talyah Polee of Denver was selected as Miss Colorado USA 2015 and Castle Rock’s Taylor Kelly was chosen as Miss Colorado Teen USA 2015, according to a news release from the Future Productions state pageant office.
The women will each receive thousands of dollars in prizes and awards, the release said, and will have the opportunity to compete for the national titles of Miss USA and Miss Teen USA next year.
The annual competition consists of an evening gown, swimwear and interview component, the release said. Competitors must be unmarried, young women between the ages of 14 and 26 and residents of Colorado in order to compete.
