Evergreen Park and Recreation District has narrowed the search for a new director to three candidates, the district’s board president, Peter Lindquist, said Monday.
One candidate is Ellen O’Connor, the district’s manager of recreation, who .
The other two candidates, Subhajeet (Seve) Ghose and Michael Moran, are from out of state.
The three candidates will be at a special board meeting for public interviews Nov. 11 after a series of round-robin interviews with individual board members and tours of district parks and facilities and meetings with staff on Nov. 10.
If the board is unable to reach a final decision Nov. 11, it will hold a continuance meeting Nov. 12.
The candidates were chosen after Lindquist and Andrew Adamoski, appointed as the board’s search committee, reduced the initial 86 applicants down to 12 for phone interviews. Four candidates were chosen for the final review and one self-selected out of the process.
