With one of the fastest growing economies in the country, Northern Colorado is seeing lots of people shopping for new homes — and this weekend D.R. Horton will let you be one of the first to see two well-appointed single-family models west of Greeley that have all of the advantages of Northern Colorado’s new attractions, at prices that start from just $252,000.

“This is a neighborhood that works great both for families that want the Windsor schools, and for those who are downsizing to a ranch,” says Kyle George, who’s waiting to show you new D.R. Horton homes available at Owl Ridge — ten minutes west of downtown Greeley. He’s already made six sales since opening the community, with the attractive Aspen and Frontier models that you’ll see today.

Meanwhile, Greeley is taking on the same luster now that Loveland and Fort Collins are showing – ranked by Forbes as fifth-best small town for job growth; by Yahoo Finance as the country’s second-fastest growing city. Greeley residents like their setting and their services, posting satisfaction rankings that are up 20 percent over the past four years.

D.R. Horton’s new community radiates all of that to best advantage – attractive residential surroundings, with a low-density feel that’s much roomier than typical new home areas show, with parks nearby and the Poudre River Trail two miles away. George is seeing buyers arriving at Owl Ridge from outside Colorado; but also from Greeley areas further east, and from Loveland and Denver metro suburbs, where buyers are used to seeing much higher prices than these.

“I see lots of people who can sell their older houses for a profit, but who still want to comfortably afford their new home,” says George — wrapping up a sale he made last week to buyers downsizing from Loveland. You can tour Aspen and Frontier models at Owl Ridge – and if you like their looks, you’ll find that D.R. Horton has a family-sized Frontier, similar to the model, that’s on track to deliver in time for Thanksgiving, at just $302,329. It’s a 4-bedroom plan with 1,999 square feet of finished space, plus a fireplace in the great room, slab granite countertops and hardwood floor in the kitchen. D.R. Horton includes not just a 3-car, but a 4-car garage in the price, along with fully fenced landscaping of both the front and backyard.

If you contract on the Frontier or on any of a selection of, you can take up to an additional $5,000 off the price when you close by Dec. 29, 2014.*
George will also show you D.R. Horton’s other ranch floor plans, and eight lots that are available to have a walkout lower level — a popular addition to D.R. Horton’s ranch plans. Owl Ridge in Greeley is ten miles east of shops and dining at Centerra; take I-25 to the U.S. 34/Loveland exit, head east eight miles to 95th Avenue, turn left and take the immediate right onto 20th Street, then head east a mile to 82nd. Or from central Greeley take U.S. 34 west six miles to 83rd, turn north to 20th and then east.
