Emergency responders are at the scene Tuesday afternoon of a fatal, two-vehicle crash on Colorado 93 near the entrance to Red Rocks Amphitheatre, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
The crash, which also left four injured, happened about 2 p.m., according to Trooper Nate Reid.
Officials said the injured were being transported to the hospital.
Information about the extent of the injuries sustained by the four people was not immediately available, Reid said.
The crash happened one mile south of Interstate 70, the patrol said. The dead victim was identified as a woman.
An image from the scene showed the wreckage of a mangled car in the foreground, its front end crumpled, lying in the snow with a car in the background rolled on its side well off the roadway.
This is a developing story that will be updated as more information becomes available.
