Slowly but surely, a new TV service is expanding into the Denver metro area. CenturyLink Inc. just turned on its 320-channel Prism TV service in Parker and Lone Tree.

The company recently launched the fiber-based TV service in Castle Rock, Castle Pines, Highlands Ranch, Sedalia and parts of Douglas County.

One of the channels is the , which will broadcast the Alpine World Ski Championships in Vail/Beaver Creek next February. It’s on channel 644 and 1644 in HD.

CenturyLink's Prism TV offers multiview

Prism TV plans require CenturyLink Internet service. Plans offer DVRs that record four channels simultaneously and the ability to watch shows on a mobile device. TV plans bundled with Internet start around $80 per month for the first six months. Current customers can switch to Prism if they are not under an existing TV contract, the company said.
