1 Misunderstandings all around. Police were called to the 1700 block of West 85th Avenue, Federal Heights, by a woman whose neighbors were shouting at each other all night Oct. 23. Police found that the suspects were both deaf and didn’t know how loud they were being. Later, one of the suspects left a threatening note on the door of the woman who called police. She was ticketed for harassment.
2 Whiskey leak. Patrolling officers found a drunken man wandering around the 7000 block of Niagara Street, Commerce City. The suspect had an open bottle of whiskey in his back pocket, which was dripping down his pants Nov. 7. He was ticketed.
3 Too young for everything. Someone who lives in the 1300 block of West 84th Avenue called Federal Heights police when they saw the driver of a black Mercedes crash into a curb and fall asleep over the wheel Oct. 26. Police charged the driver with underage drinking and possession of cigarettes.
4 Sidewalk ashtray. A woman was cited for throwing a cigarette butt out of her car window in front of a police officer in the 2800 block of East 120th Avenue, Thornton, on Nov. 1.
5 Fist fight. Commerce City police were called to the 15100 block of East 104th Avenue because two construction workers got into a fist fight over where to store the site tools Nov. 8. Both men were ticketed.
6 Hand it over. An employee of the King Soopers at 1575 W. 84th Ave., Federal Heights, called police after a shoplifter tried to leave the store Oct. 18. The suspect returned the items to the employee.
