Tonight. This has been a big fall for the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, and this night of music by Aaron Copland is among the most promising events. There’s a bit of backstory for the one-night-only program. The CSO is actually recording it this week for the Swedish label Bis Records, which has had a long, fruitful relationship with Music Director Andrew Litton. That’s a big move, since the recording will likely gain the CSO radio play in the U.S. and Europe. Local audiences benefit because the line- up will undoubtedly be performed again and again for the microphones and every fine Copland nuance will be explored. On the program: “Billy the Kid,” “El Salón México” “Rodeo” and more. 7:30 p.m. tonight, Boettcher Concert Hall, Denver Performing Arts Complex. $22-$84. 303-623-7876 or . Ray Mark Rinaldi
