Idina Menzel has cultivated countless young fans through her work in the animated hit “Frozen,” so it will be interesting to see how many of them show up to cheer her on at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Why wait until next year to find out who’s playing the “420 in the Streets” fest outside Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom? Weed-friendly hip-hop acts Method Man & Redman, Cypress Hill, Collie Buddz, Flatbush Zombies and Dizzy Wright will perform on the stoner-holiday of April 20, with more artists to be announced in the coming months. In case you haven’t been attending the concerts or watching the PBS specials over the years, pop-vocal group Celtic Thunder will offer a sampler of its bombastic take on traditional Irish music with “The Very Best of Celtic Thunder” tour, which visits the Buell Theatre on Feb. 22 and Colorado Springs’ Pikes Peak Center on Feb. 23. Next year’s Global Dub Fest only has a couple of confirmed headliners at this point, but they’re biggies: Excision and Zomboy will play the “sub-shattering and ear-splitting event” (according to an e-mail from the promoter) on May 15 at Red Rocks. Tickets are on sale. ($39.95-$75, )
Monument native Miguel Dakota, a finalist from Season 9 of “America’s Got Talent,” will play a benefit for Charlie Richardson and the Children’s Organ Transplant Association at the Pikes Peak Center on Jan. 31. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Dec. 1. ($33-$98, )
