A warm week ahead for Denver might have some residents doing a double take at their calendars as December sees abnormally high temperatures.
Monday’s high is expected to be 54 degrees, said National Weather Service spokesman Chad Gimmestad, with things heating up from there.
“We are in the 50s to 60s all the way through the week with the warmest days being Wednesday, Thursday and Friday,” he said.
Gimmestad said the average temperature for Denver on Dec. 7 is 43 degrees, but folks are basking in weather about 10 degrees above that.
“We’re looking at temperatures 10 to 20 degrees above normal all week,” he said.
A weather system next weekend could bring rain or snow Saturday night into Sunday, he said, and that will likely cool things down.
