A man discovered living illegally in a downtown Denver restaurant has been charged with burglary and two counts of criminal mischief.

The Denver District Attorney’s Office said Stephen Graves, 36, was living in The Yard House restaurant and Sheraton Hotel.

He was discovered inside the restaurant Dec.10 when he fell through the ceiling. Officials did not say how long Graves had been living in the restaurant.

Graves caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage when he broke a sprinkler head, causing flooding, officials said.

Graves is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
