Police in Aurora were investigating a one-vehicle crash Thursday night that left one person dead and three others seriously injured.
The crash happened about 8 p.m. Thursday in the 13600 block of East Alameda Avenue, when an Audi heading east lost control, went over the south curb, and struck a tree.
The driver, a female whose name and age were not released pending notification of family, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four male occupants in the car, who also were not identified, were taken to hospitals but expected to recover from their injuries.
“It does not appear the driver or rear passengers were wearing their seat belts,” police said.
“Speed appears to be a factor in this crash. It is not known at this time if alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash.”
