COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Three Colorado Springs police officers and a trainee suffered minor injuries following three separate vehicle accidents just minutes apart on Friday.
Police say an officer stopped to check out a traffic jam and was hit by another car. A police car was hit responding to the first accident. Both officers suffered minor injuries.
A third accident happened when someone rear-ended a police car responding to another accident, injuring an officer and a trainee.
Police are asking drivers to slow down on the icy streets and to yield to emergency vehicles.
