Rested, clear-eyed and clear-headed, safety David Bruton flashed a thumbs-up sign Wednesday when asked how he’s dealing with a concussion suffered during the regular-season finale against the Oakland Raiders.
“I feel really good, ready to go,” said the Broncos special-teams stalwart. “I think a week off did everybody good, and especially guys like me and Orlando.”
That would be guard Orlando Franklin who, like Bruton, passed his concussion protocol and was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice leading up to Sunday’s AFC divisional playoff game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Starting linebacker Brandon Marshall was a limited participant in practice because of a foot injury, but he’s expected to be in the lineup Sunday.
In pads, outdoors. Decked out in full pads and facing frosty, breezy conditions, the Broncos had their first full practice for Sunday’s game.
“It was great to be outside, working in a little bit of conditions today,” Broncos coach John Fox said. “We’ll see what the conditions will be on Sunday, but you never know. I thought it was good work for us.”
