Getting your player ready...

Brock Osweiler isn’t sure which way Peyton Manning is leaning.

Two weeks ago, Manning said he planned on coming back to quarterback the Broncos in 2015.

After the Broncos’ playoff loss Sunday to Indianapolis, Manning was less certain, saying he wanted to “process” things and see what developed with the Broncos before making a decision.

Osweiler, a second-round draft pick, who so far has spent three consecutive years carrying Manning’s in-game overhead still shots, isn’t about to let Manning’s future affect his own.

“It really doesn’t change any approach that I’ll have to this offseason,” Osweiler said. “If he comes back, if he doesn’t come back, I’m still going to be training in Arizona with the same approach.”

First, Osweiler said he would take two or three weeks to get away from football before he goes to work on his quarterback craft. Osweiler, who is 6-foot-7, 240 pounds, usually has one or two throwing sessions with his former Arizona State offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone.

And Osweiler plans on throwing routes to receivers such as Kyle Williams, the former Arizona State receiver and San Francisco 49ers punt returner who the Broncos signed to a futures contract.

“He’s one of a few guys who are down there,” Osweiler said. “It’s a great group to work with. It’s a great place to get away, refresh your mind and body and get in some good work.”
