NOLA

Le Bon Temps Roulé. The lineup for the New Orleans Jazz Festival 2015 has been announced, and it looks like Louisiana will have a British invasion this summer. The bespectacled piano great, Elton John is at the top of the list, rubbing elbows with fellow countrymen, the Who.

But here’s the bad news. Looks like Pitbull is also at the top of the lineup. At least Drake isn’t making an appearance at the Jazz Fest, as he already is at Coachella and Governors Ball. This is a good sign — easing our worries that it might be a summer of Drake at the increasingly homogenized music festival season.

Other notable additions to the New Orleans Jazz Festival 2015 lineup are Widespread Panic and Wilco. The festival takes place on April 24 to May 3, with tickets going on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m. CST on Ticketmaster.

After his performance at the Pepsi Center in September, we know that Elton John is at the top of his game to continue headlining these major festivals. Here’s what we said about his Pepsi Center show:

Anyone who has watched Elton John through decades knows him to be the quintessential showman. And his Saturday concert at the packed Pepsi Center shows that even at 67 years old, his strong voice remains, his love for a raucous crowd endures, and his fingers can still skip across a grand piano’s keys with ease and vigor.
