The 2015 University of Colorado football season will begin two days earlier than planned, opening at Hawaii on Sept. 3, CU announced Thursday.
Originally scheduled for Sept. 5, both teams agreed to move it back two days. The Buffaloes wanted more time to recovery from jet lag after coming back from Hawaii. The Rainbow Warriors will receive extra time to prepare against national champion Ohio State, which they will play on Sept. 12.
Kickoff is set for 11 p.m. MT and no television arrangements have been set.
