Jan. 28: 7:30 p.m. Emmy Award-winning screenwriter Kirk Ellis (John Adams) will serve as moderator for the Western Writers of America’s inaugural James Ersfeld Western Writing Symposium. Panelists include local best-selling author Sandra Dallas, historian and author Mark Lee Gardner, juvenile nonfiction author Nancy Plain and novelist Johnny D. Boggs. The goal of the free symposium is to encourage writers to focus on the Western genre.
