West 48th Avenue and Zuni Street under Interstate 70 was closed early Thursday afternoon after pieces of concrete fell from underneath the bridge, Denver Police said.
In a posting on Twitter after 1 p.m., DPD advised motorists to take alternate routes.
Colorado Department of Transportation spokeswoman Emily Wilfong said a crew was dispatched to the scene and found no structural damage.
“No one was impacted; it more of a cosmetic issue involving the removal of some debris,” Wilfong said, adding that crews worked on the bridge until just before 4 p.m.
