Jefferson County’s newest county commissioner, former state legislator Libby Szabo, will be sworn in to office at 11 a.m. on Jan. 30.
The ceremony will take place in Hearing Room 1 of the Jefferson County Administration and Courts Facility, 100 Jefferson County Parkway, in Golden.
Szabo, an Arvada Republican, was serving as assistant minority leader in the Colorado House when she was , who left her District 1 commissioner post to become Jefferson County clerk earlier this month.
Szabo was serving her third term as a state lawmaker.
