Wednesday, All Veterans Funeral & Cremation put out a call for people to . The funeral service was concerned that Waltz’s burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery would be unattended.
On Thursday, a cousin of Waltz came forward and changed the arrangements, making the service private and moving the date, said Jill Ross, an All Veterans spokeswoman.
Earlier this week hundreds of people liked and shared an All Veterans Facebook post, a rallying call for people to attend the originally planned burial.
“Thanks for the overwhelming support,” Ross said.
She apologized on behalf of the service about any confusion or inconveniences that may arise because of the change in plans.
