Tuesday’s weather was nice enough to break out the shorts, maybe even dust off the sandals. And by week’s end the high temperatures will pass the 50 degree mark, possibly even reach the 60s.
But Wednesday…
Denver drivers will likely have to deal with some snowfall on their morning commute, according to the National Weather Service. The NWS is predicting the metro area may see an inch or so of snow, beginning at about 6 a.m. The chance of snow will diminish in the afternoon, the service said.
That pales in comparison to what’s expected up in the mountains. A winter storm warning went into effect at 10 p.m. and was scheduled to last all Wednesday. According to the NWS, the expected snowfall will be anywhere from 8 to 14 inches, with the heaviest amounts falling north of Berthoud Pass, with Rabbit Ears Pass likely seeing the most.
