
WATCH:
A driver involved in a traffic accident that killed a has been charged with careless driving resulting in death.
Blair Gledhill, 22, of Denver, also faces three counts of careless driving causing injury in the Jan. 3 multivehicle, multi incident crash near Conifer, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Gledhill was cited Thursday in the death of Sgt. Sean Renfro, who to help direct traffic and aid crash victims when he was struck.
All the traffic counts are Class 1 misdemeanors.
Gledhill allegedly lost control of her vehicle on an icy roadway and crossed over the median, hitting two people — Renfro and a friend — and a vehicle.
A passenger in Gledhill’s vehicle was injured, and a state trooper was injured by debris.
If convicted, Gledhill faces a possible jail sentence of one year and a fine of up to $1,000.
