Seniors Jacob Trujillo of Grand Junction and Jareb Aziz of Centauri, and Meeker junior TJ Shelton became part of the 117-member club of three-time state wrestling champions Saturday at the Pepsi Center.

Shelton has a chance to become the 19th member of the four-time champions club in 2016.

Aziz finished the season with a perfect 40-0 record. It was the second consecutive year he’s gone undefeated. He finished the 2014 season 48-0.

“All the work and dedication pays off,” Aziz said. “Even though I was undefeated, I can still work on my mistakes. … (But) It feels good knowing that I did that again.”
