Interview with Robert Bishop, owner

Q: How did you get involved in this business?

A: I started in the pool and spa business over 20 years ago, beginning with building pools in Nebraska. I’ve since worked for two reputable pool and spa companies in the Denver area and completed my certification in pool operation.

Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?

A: Big companies tend to focus more on the quantity of jobs, not the quality. I went into business for myself so that I can provide a quality job that pays special attention to detail every time.

Q: What do you like best about your line of work?

A: The things I like the most about my line of work are working outdoors, building customer relationships, working for myself and being a member and supporter of the small-business community.

Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?

A: Right now, it’s building up my customer base.

Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:

A: People generally do not realize that water chemistry is not only important to your health, but keeping it in balance extends the life of your pool or spa equipment. This is what I specialize in.
