Pat yourselves on the back, Coloradans.
A WalletHub survey show that residents of the state’s three largest cities — Denver, Aurora and Colorado Springs — are harder workers than most of their peers nationally.
Denver ranked as the No. 9 hardest-working city in the U.S., followed by Aurora at 16th and Colorado Springs 25th out of the 116 largest cities across the nation.
The survey ranked residents of cities in categories such as average hours worked per week, the number of workers with multiple jobs, typical commute times, volunteer hours worked, , sleep patterns and the amount of leisure time spent during an average day.
But as hard-working as Colorado Front Rangers were, Cheyenne was even more productive. Cheyenne ranked No. 4 nationally, behind only Anchorage, Alaska; Virginia Beach, Va. and Plano, Texas.
WalletHub said it conducted the survey in recognition of Employee Appreciation Day on March 6.
The financial data firm noted that technology has allowed American workers to increase productivity, even though they work, on average, 214 hours less per year than in 1950.
WalletHub said Americans work 50 percent more hours than their European counterparts.
