The website belonging to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office — was dismantled Tuesday after it was infiltrated by hackers.

The sheriff’s office announced the hack at about 8:30 a.m. The office said it is working to restore the website but did not provide a time frame for when they though it would be back online.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the site had a message reading: “503 Service Unavailable.” The sheriff’s office didn’t say by whom they were hacked.
