1 Eye for an eye. Police were called to the 17900 block of Cornell Drive because a woman and her stepfather were breaking each other’s belongings Feb. 16. During a fight, the woman broke her stepfather’s coffee pot, so he smashed her TV. She then sabotaged his dryer, so he ripped the doors off her washing machine. Neither wanted to press charges.

2 To the rescue. Two people sitting on their front porch in the 900 block of South Dawson Way watched a man walk up to their neighbor and grab her throat Feb. 11. One of the witnesses ran over to help, but the man pulled out a revolver and pointed it at him, so he backed away and the suspect fled.

3 Grave robbery. A woman visiting the graves of her two parents called police Feb. 10 when she noticed that someone stole a bronze vase that she had on their sites in the Olinger Eastlawn Cemetery, 19600 E. Smith Road.

4 Xbox found outside. An Xbox was stolen from a residence in the 17300 block of Adriatic Place while a woman who lives there was taking a nap Feb. 13. The woman woke up to let her dog outside and noticed the door was unlocked and the Xbox was gone. The next day, she found the Xbox in a bush outside.

5 Unsuccessful break-in. A man called police Feb. 12 after he realized someone tried to pry open the door to his office in the 15500 block of East Colfax Avenue. The door was bolted shut.

6 Vanishing patio furniture. A woman who lives in the 1000 block of South Yampa Street called police Feb. 16 because someone stole all of her patio furniture while she was sleeping.
