Fire crews in Elbert County have contained a roughly 20-acre grass blaze on Wednesday afternoon.

The fire burned southeast of Elizabeth, the county sheriff’s office said.

“The fire is creating heavy smoke in the area,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
