1 Stinko neighbor causes a stink over stink. A resident of the 6900 block of S. Columbine Road, Evergreen, reported March 14 being threatened by his neighbor, who was upset about the smell of an outhouse on the property and the time it was taking for the landlord to respond to his complaint. He was drunk when he made the threats. The landlord was contacted and said he was waiting to hear from the septic company. No charges were filed.

2Youth attacks, spits. A juvenile resident of Lookout Mountain Youth Services, 2901 Ford St., Golden, attacked a staff member Feb. 26. The youth tried to run after being restrained and then spit in the victim’s face. Golden police gathered video of the incident as evidence.

3Man retaliates with fender bender. Two men were in a verbal argument March 11 at Tuscany Tavern, 32214 Ellingwood Trail, Evergreen. The argument was related to a previous argument at another location, and the instigator was thrown out by restaurant staff. The other man left soon after and reported being rear-ended by a car he believed was driven by the instigator. There was little damage to his vehicle. No charges were filed.

4Scammer thwarted. A woman reported March 13 what she believed to be a scam. Someone claiming to be her grandson called requesting a money order. She got the money order, but became suspicious and called Jeffco Sheriff’s Office. The scammer called while a deputy was at her house in the 8600 block of S. Turkey Creek Road, Morrison. The deputy took the phone and confronted the scammer, who hung up.
